A Glance At My 2010 Year

People are not judged by the way they die but by the way they lived their life – I really didn't know what it meant when I heard it for the first time but now I really live by the phrase itself. Another year is about to come to an end and a new beginning is all set for us to start. I am not good at keeping promises or keeping up with the New Year resolution I make (but I will be posting up another blog about my new year's resolution for 2011, I can still write it down can't I???). As soon as I make New Year resolution saying 'I will do this! I won't do this!!' the very next day I end up doing right the opposite of it, it's not intentional though. I don't know I just happen to break my resolutions one way or the other. So, before moving on to the stupid resolutions for the coming up New Year I would make let's take a peek back what I did this year.

1. Had this awesome website, which also happens to be my web space.

2. Started writing out my thoughts on my web space rather than scribbling it down in some paper and chunking it out.

3. Had an electrifying year.

4. Because I happen to gift myself an iPhone 4 on my 25th birthday.

5. Oh! I celebrated my silver jubilee as I turned 25 this year.

6. Got a white Sony Viao laptop on my birthday from my parents.

7. Got Canon 550D camera from my aunt and uncle.

8. And a Sony camcorder as a birthday gift.

9. As you can see the list of gifts I got, I can definitely say that I had a plate full of treat on my birthday.

10. Got myself a DKNY wallet.

11. Had my very first credit card.

12. And another one as well!!

13. Got a habit of watching movies either in cinema or in an original DVD print, due to which I got loads of movies to watch and the list is going on and on.

14. No to pirated DVDs and CDs.

15. Bought some perfume costing more than 200 quid which obviously made a huge hole in my bank account.

16. I went stone broke couple of times, more than couple of times to be honest.

17. Met some very annoying people.

18. Became an anti-social for couple of months and enjoyed the peace.

19. Had huge arguments with people.

20. Digested the fact that I can't drive at all (after wasting 800 quid in driving lessons).

21. Went to Hong Kong on my annual leave.

22. Went to Disneyland Hong Kong and stayed there for two days.

23. Shopped like some crazy person over there.

24. Went camping to Weymouth.

25. Slept in a tent and it was freaking raining the very first night but had an awesome experience the other nights.

26. Completed another year in the very same job though I say its annoying job every freaking day.

27. Had more confidence than the last year.

28. For the first time went to a dance party and danced all night long (till 5 in the morning) without any interruption.

29. Deactivated my Facebook account for couple of months and 'ya! I can survive without it!!'.

30. Couldn't lose weight at all and how stupid of me that I even bought Wii fit plus just to lose my weight.

31. Started my own mini collection of DVDs.

32. And of books.

33. Had the shortest haircut.

34. And still wearing it.

35. Finally made some friends at my work place.

36. Watched only 5 Hindi films this year. God! Something must be terribly wrong with me.

37. Became athe for the first time (thanks Yogita!!), and aunty for few more times, all the credit goes to Kanya and Kavi.

38. Got jealous of people couple of times (finger crossed!! Lol!).

39. And made many people jealous of me as well!!

40. Became an avid listener of Capital FM. Still hooked on it!!!

41. And for that reason I have got only 7 songs in my iPod which I hardly listen.

Now as I look back at the list above I realized that I have done a lot of things but do have some regrets about not being able to write down few things that I thought I would be doing this year. As in whole this year was mixture of drama, fun, sadness, happiness, everything. Something like 'Khabie Khusi Khabie Gham!!'. And I bet that's the way it should be isn't it?

Anyways, I m grateful to the people who made my ride awesome this year with their support and love and made me realize that life is beautiful if shared with people you love and care. Thank you all (you all know who you all are don't you??) for this amazing year and hope to have incredible New Year with you lot around me.

Amen!!!

P.S: Even though I m very bad at following my resolutions, will be posting up a blog about it later!!! Till than adios!!!
